Nigel Mitchell I was born in Adelaide in 1960, studied Theolgy at St Barnabas Theological college and Flinders University. After completing my basic degree I was ordained to the Priesthood of the Anglican Church, and began my ordained ministry in the diocese of Ballarat, Victoria. I have spent just over five years in parish ministry, four years as a school chaplain, and been in my present position since the beginning of 1994. I am employed half time as Chaplain to The University of Western Australia. The rest of my time is spent working on a PhD in religious Studies at Edith Cowan University. I am married, and have a daughter at Primary School. My academic interests are Religious Education, Liturgy, Church History, and the Hebrew Scriptures (ie Old Testament). My liesure interests include abseiling, camping, the beach, reading, singing and listening to Church music, and net surfing. My politics tend to the left, my theology tends to be liberal, and my Churchmanship tends to the Anglo-Catholic or High Church wing of Anglicanism. My pet hates are all forms of censorship, intolerance, and the arrogance which makes people incapable of listening to or respecting the opinions of anyone else.
