Andrew Parle Born in 1958, I have a PhD in theoretical physics which gives me a license to talk on any subject (I may not make sense, though). I am currently working as a software engineer. Theologically, I started off as a Christian, was reduced to an agnostic partly as a result of contact with fundamentalists, and am now an atheist (but I try to be tolerant, anyway). I am also a member of Australian Skeptics (currently on the National Committee) and have a deep interest in claims of paranormal phenomena such as miracles and visions, and in the activities of cults. My primary interest in religion is in the 'Creation Science' movement with which I have had considerable experience. I am also concerned with the effect that religion has on modern society, not all of which is beneficial. Similarly the effect of modern society on religion. All in all, aus.religion is a great place to meet a better class of wierdo^H^H^H^H^H^Hperson. Education: BSc, PhD (Sydney University) in theoretical physics. Born: 1958 Job: Team Leader, Software Engineering, Stanilite Electronics. Position: Atheist (non-evangelical) and reformed Christian.
