David Stanhope
 
   Hi! I was born in 1965, which makes me almost 30 now. I started off in
New Guinea, spent most of my schooling life in New Zealand before coming
back here with my parents. I am married to Helen and have 3 kids. We live
near Gosford on the NSW Central Coast.
 
   I have been a christian since about 1982 and would say that my faith is
based on a day to day relationship with God and on treating the Bible as
accurate in all but possibly the finest detail. I go to a Baptist Church and
my wife and I try to lead a small home group. I have also dabbled in youth
work previously. 
 
I am an electronic design engineer with a first class honours EE degree from
the University of Technology, Sydney. My interests are faith, family, golf,
squash and any type of activity that gets me out into the fresh air often
(particularly sailing). I would like to explore more community based
christian living and also the area of faith and evolution.
