I was born and live in Sydney, Australia. I am Eurasian by descent (my father is second generation Cantonese Chinese, my mother was born in Germany), but was socialised as 'Australian' (whatever that means) and might even qualify as 'Jewish' (my mother's mother's mother was a Polish Jew). I have a small part of my family tree online.
I work as an independent book reviewer.
Other activities include volunteer work as an anti-censorship activist and a community activist. I can't remember why I put it up originally, but my resume is online.
Hobbies include bushwalking and travel, playing gamelan, going out to films, concerts and plays, playing games, and spending time with interesting people.
