PERMAI

PERMAI is an acronym for Persababatan antara Masyarakat Australia dengan Indonesia (Friendship between the peoples of Australia and Indonesia). The group was formed in July 1992 at the request of Bapak Edhimurti Sunoko, Consul of the Republic of Indonesia for Victoria and Tasmania, for members of the Australian Indonesian Association of Victoria.

Under the direction of Ki Poedijono the group has performed at many functions including Indonesian Independence Day, Moomba, Melbourne Zoo and many provincial city's in Victoria & NSW and also for welcoming special Indonesian guests to Melbourne formost of these was Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X, Sultan of Yogyakarta.
