the Brick Microscope

Electron microscopes can resolve more detail than optical microscopes because electrons have a shorter wavelength than photons. And in general the bigger the particle, the higher its energy and the shorter the wavelength.

So for a really high resolution microscope, why not use bricks? Throw a coherent stream of bricks at your sample and put a brick detector behind it.
